A Night in... Belgrade

A NIGHT IN... BELGRADE

Belgrade, Serbia

You’ll want to add Belgrade to your ultimate-night-out bucket list asap... 🌚

Brutalist warehouses, converted chapels, river boats and factories… This city can throw a party pretty much anywhere.

Alcohol’s cheap, music’s 👌 and the locals know how to have a good time. This is your guide to a night in Belgrade…

KC Grad

A good place to ease yourself into the night.

KC Grad is a warehouse space with workshops and exhibitions in the day and gigs most nights.

Start with a couple of beers from the (v cheap) bar and mingle with local artists in the courtyard.

Klub 20/44

All along the Sava River you’ll find a mini-village of converted boats.

Coffee shops, boutiques and restaurants have taken over the barges. It’s a great place to grab a pre-boozing dinner, and an even better place to party.

Klub 20/44 or ‘the boat’ is a glorified raft playing everything from detroit techno to whatever turbo-folk is.

Dance on the deck or head down into the sweaty hull to catch world-famous DJs.

Bigz Building

If buildings could speak…

The Bigz Building is an architectural beast that used to be a communist printing house. These days it’s a giant house party masquerading as a studio.

To be fair it actually is a studio, with artists, film crews, musicians and all the good things working away by light... But come darkness it’s carnage.

Drugstore

‘The kind of venue post-industrial dystopian rave dreams are made of...’

This is where it all gets a bit real. A former slaughterhouse, with almost no lighting, on the other end of a steep metal stairwell, Drugstore throws you in at the deep end.

It’s a lotta fun though.

The main room has a chapel-like ceiling with a Jesus statue welcoming you with open arms. Expect underground Serbian techno and sore feet.
