Psakoudia is equal parts lazy beach escape and Greek adventure. There's a long sandy beach, calm turquoise water that's perfect for swimming, and a line of seafront tavernas ready to feed you grilled fish with a sea view.

When you've had your fill of beach time, it's also the gateway to the Sithonia peninsula, with pine forests, olive groves and pretty walking trails just waiting to be explored.

Where will I sleep?

This forest hideaway gives you the best of both worlds. Surrounded by pine trees on a peaceful hillside, you're still only a five-minute wander through the woods from Psakoudia Beach and its chilled seaside bars.

Back at Philoxenia Hotel, there’s a big pool with plenty of loungers, a pool bar for drinks in the sunshine, and free buffet breakfasts and dinners to keep you fuelled up. Expect a hearty spread of Greek and Mediterranean eats.

What will I do?

Your hotel can sort you out with island hopping excursions, or you can just hit up Wake To Wake Watersports. These guys do jet skiing, wakeboarding, and flyboarding (jet skiing, but in the air). Terrifying.

It’s a five-minute drive to Gerakini Village - smash through more seafood at cutesy tavernas and flounder on caramel swirl beaches.
