So different from its sisters Ibiza and Mallorca, Menorca is unspoilt to the point of old-fashioned. Just look at the local abarcas sandals… 😍

Son Bou is a small village down in the south of the island, but the sunny spot’s magic is in its hidden coves, forgotten trails and tumbling country-side.

Where will I sleep?

Just when you thought this island spot couldn’t get any better, along comes ARTIEM Audax to raise the bar. A handful of bars and restaurants nearby, and Cala Galdana’s white-sand beach is literally a one-minute stroll away.

Back at base, the pool scene is strong. The main pool curves around a raised terrace with treetop views. There’s also an infinity pool and an indoor one. The pool bar keeps things easy with snacks and smoothies. When the sun goes down, DJs step in for a full-blown party.

You’ve got two restaurants to rotate between. The buffet is where your free breakfast happens each morning. Insert mediterranean flavours, and live show-cooking stations where chefs grill meat or fish exactly how you like it. Then there’s the à la carte spot for evenings.

The sports centre can sort you out with kayaking or diving. Join a guided walk or rent a bike and head out around the coast.

What will I do?

Venture out to Menorca’s longest stretch of soft sand. At Son Bou, shallow crystal-clear waters are just begging for your bare toes.

Right behind the beach, you'll find the Prat de Son Bou nature reserve. Think dunes, marshes, and a whole bunch of birdlife chilling in their natural habitat. And if you're into a bit of history, there's the Basílica de Son Bou ruins nearby - which give you a peek into the island's early-Christian past.

Start the evening with seafood tapas and cocktails at Mai Tai Son Bou, then move onto Casa Andres. Here, it's all about big flavours. Go for their showstopper, the saucy paella or switch things up with arroz negro, then finish off with a creamy Menorcan cheese ice cream.
